Adjustable syringe mechanisms
Manual stops and a motor-driven plunger explored for controlling syringe volume.

Syringe mechanisms from my microfluidics experiments, which involved small amounts of liquid. The two smaller syringes have screw-adjustable stops to change the plunger position and available volume. The larger mechanism uses a motor-driven screw to move the plunger, with limit switches at the ends of its travel.

Another view of the two manually adjustable syringe stops and the motor-driven syringe mechanism. I no longer recall the exact microfluidic experiment these supported.

A further view of the syringe mechanisms: screw-adjustable stops on the smaller syringes, alongside the powered plunger mechanism and its travel-limit switches.
